Last updated: 25 March 2026
UKCalc (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website ukcalc.co.uk. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site.
1. What data we collect
We collect minimal data:
- Analytics data — If you consent to cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, and approximate geographic region. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Email address — Only if you voluntarily subscribe to our tax rate change notifications. We store your email address solely for this purpose.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, financial details, or any other personal information. Our calculators run entirely in your browser — no calculation inputs or results are sent to our servers.
2. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Cookie consent preference — Stored in your browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies.
- Google Analytics cookies — Only set if you click “Accept” on the cookie consent banner. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage and cookies for ukcalc.co.uk, then refreshing the page.
3. How we use your data
- Analytics data is used solely to understand site usage and improve our calculators.
- Email addresses are used solely to send tax rate change notifications.

4. Third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 — Analytics processing. Data may be transferred to the United States. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf.
- Ad networks — We may display advertisements via third-party networks. These may use their own cookies if you have consented. Ad network privacy policies apply to those cookies.
- Affiliate links — Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party financial services. When you click these links, the destination site’s privacy policy applies. We receive a commission if you complete a transaction, but no personal data is shared by us.
